Blog #3

Time management has always been a part of my life so to say what it is for me now is hard to answer. If it's for an event or an appointment then always try to be fifteen minutes early. For my homework I try to remember everything that I have and think of how long it will take to do it. Sometimes I'll forget if it doesn't feel important. For example, I'm doing the blog a day late because it didn't feel important so I forgot. The only reason I don't write down anything to help with planning or make plans on my phone is because I know that if I do write it down then I'll usually forget everything I was supposed to do thinking whatever I did will help me remember. As for rescheduling things to be more effective or make me less busy, I don't think there's much that would work for me. Making things more effective for me depends on importance of said thing or how lazy I am. Not to mention, I'm not really a busy guy but rather the things I do take a long time. I don't know how to deal with procrastination since I became a heavy procrastinator upon entering my teen years, but that's just because I became a teen and stopped caring about things that seem insignificant. I would cut out a number of activities I do like social media in order to help myself, but my reason for doing these things is because I'm trying not to be bored when I don't have anything going on.

  1. Yo Austin whats up? Will I see you Monday night? Well let me just say that I'm glad that you are able to manage your time enough to make it to Rock on Monday nights and that I hope that you are able to increase your management skills this year if that is what you want. Make all things significant and then delegate the most amount of time to the things that are most significant and a bit less time to less important things. I never write anything down on a schedule for the most part because I feel like it is important to establish routine and that is how I manage my time. I don't know haha. This post is due by tomorrow and I have had it since Monday so I definitely have to work on my Time Management a bit too. See you -Kyler

  2. Being early is a great time management tool and skill. And is definitely admirable. I HIGHLY recommend getting a planner. While you don't view tasks as important, the person that asked you to do them does and if you don't value the task (i.e. do it late...like this blog) it sends a direct message that you just don't care. And that is definitely not something you want your boss to think of you when they are deciding who to promote.... So...get a planner. :)
